Dec 09 > New major firmware release for all Magic TV™ models
New features in version 4.0:
1) Record on multiple HDDs (Hard Disk Drives)
You can now seamlessly expand your storage capacity by connecting one or more USB disks to any Magic TV™ model. Copying, moving, editing and playback from these disks is all fully supported. You can even choose to prioritize recording to a particular drive or let the system handle it automatically.
2) Instant Rewind
Magic TV™ will now automatically start recording the currently watched channel so that you can rewind if you miss anything. Magic TV™ can also use this 'buffer' to record a whole programme, even if record is pressed after the programme has started!
More new features are intruduced in the Firmware Release Notes linked below.
If you haven't updated for a while, you might also benefit from other recent new features such as HD Camcorder Playback, News + Weather updates, 1.5TB disk support and general bugfixes.

MTV3100D is the first Dual Tuner Receiver on the market, allowing users to connect a USB HDD to have the ultimate HD PVR.
MTV3600D replaces MTV3500 and adds Dual Tuner performance to provide even better value.

advertising campaign
On 11 July Cable TV and Now TV will be showing a new Magic TV
television commercial to advertise the new MTV5000 HDTV Personal
Video Recorder. The commerical will run before the opening of
the Beijing Olympic Games.

08 > MTV5000 Grand Launch
Event
Pixel Magic chose the IFC Palace Cinema as the venue to launch
their new MTV5000 HDTV Personal Video Recorder.
Samsung, Sharp and Sony were once again in attendance, to announce
their selection of MTV5000 to partner their high-end HDTVs and
displays in Hong Kong.
The event attracted a fantastic response from both the general
